In Division 1, all of Cardigan's rivals for the title involved in weekend action won to keep the pressure on them. New Quay and Lampeter both won their games and with both teams still having Cardigan to play, the title race could again go to the final game.

Having looked doomed to relegation for so long, Llandysul won away from home to give themselves hope of staying up. Meanwhile, Llanboidy ended their league campaign with a loss away at Lampeter although they have enough points to avoid the drop.

In the Percy Eldridge Cup, Maesglas scraped past Bargod and Aberaeron beat Lampeter by four goals to nil although the scoreline was a little flaterring.

In the battle between two league rivals in the Bay Cup, Cardigan comfortably beat Aberaeron by three goals to nil.
